Yokohama Landmark Tower

Yokohama Landmark Tower lives up to its name.

A 295.8m (970 feet) high majestic symbol of Minato Mirai 21, it`s a landmark you aren`t likely to miss.

The tower is currently Japan`s tallest skyscraper.

Thanks to its “Sky Garden” on the 69th floor, the 360 degree view including that of Tokyo Bay and beyond, makes for a mesmerizing experience, especially at night.

Unfortunately to get to this Japanese building`s Sky Garden you have to take the stairs from the first floor.

Just joking!

Actually Landmark Tower has one of the fastest elevators in the world which can take you to the observatory in around 40 seconds reaching speeds of 750 meters per minute. A display above the doors will tell you exactly how fast you are traveling. 

So if you are an elevator enthusiast, it is practically an attraction in itself.

But there is more to this Japan building than just views and the fastest elevator in Japan.

The tower also has offices, shops and the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel which is Japan`s highest hotel as it is situated on floors 49 - 70.

The Sky Garden Observatory is open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and entry is ¥1000.
